For soil mix: 10% – 20% — For extracts: 1 handful per gallon
Worm Castings are the first layer to a healthy soil.
With out worm castings there is no soil biology to cycle nutrients and your plants won’t have access to all the things they need to grow happy and healthy. Worm castings bring billions of microorganisms to your soil unlocking the nutrients your plants need from compost (second layer) and other organic and inorganic materials in the soil.
Application Rate: Worm castings can be applied during different parts of a plants growing cycle. 1. Add to the seed mix. 2. Add to each planting hole. 3. When the soil is being tilled or amended mechanically.
🌱 How Much Do I Need:
New Lawns: Topdress 5 gallons per 250 square feet onto the soil before seeding or sodding.
Existing Lawns: Topdress with 5 gallons per 250 square feet. (Water in well)
New Gardens: Add between 10%-15% castings to the new soil mix.
Existing Gardens: Add to each new planting hole.
New Raised Beds: Add between 10%-15% castings to the new soil mix.
Existing Raised Beds: Add to each new planting hole.
New Plants: Mix 10% into the soil during planting.
